Mark Conkling is a New Mexico author from the Rio Rancho area and now resides in Fernandina Beach, FL. Mark is a member of Amelia Island Writers. He has published five novels: Adam’s Heart (2022), Prairie Dog Blues (2011), Dog Shelter Blues (June, 2012), Killer Whale Blues (2014), and Honey Bee Blues (2018). The first four novels explore how mother nature can be a healing power. Honey Bee Blues, the latest of the four, provides a deep dive into the dynamics of narcissistic personality disorder.

Adam’s Heart is a recovery novel based on the idea that there is always hope.

Dog Shelter Blues was a finalist in the 2013 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards in the category Novel: Adventure, Drama.

Killer Whale Blues was a finalist in the 2014 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards in three categories including Novel: Adventure, Drama.
